Bed Bug Control Rialto

Bed bugs are a gross pest but they are also a very common pest in the Rialto and surrounding areas. We’ve noticed an increase in bed bug cases around the area, receiving multiple calls every week regarding the treatment of such pests. Unfortunately, it isn’t easy nor cheap to treat bed bugs. Anyone who tells you otherwise is not experienced with bed bugs. Yes, it’s better to catch them right away, but it can take some time to completely rid of them.

Bed Bug Identification

Bed bugs are hard to see, especially during the day because this is when they are hiding. Bed bugs are 4 to 5 mm long, flat, brown-reddish and oval. They appear more reddish once they’ve fed because they are full of blood; your blood. Bed bug nymphs can be hard to see as they are very small in size. As they get bigger they may be more noticeable.

Why Bed Bugs?

Unsure where the bed bugs came from? This is a very common frustration for many people, especially those who have not traveled or purchased used furniture. Bed bugs can easily travel via a person, animal or material item. You could visit a restaurant that has bed bugs (such as a booth) and carry them home unknowingly. This is a risk we all take and this isn’t the only way to get them.

Frequent traveling and hotel stays are a very common way for a person to end up with a bed bug problem. Buying and exchanging used furniture is another common way and probably the most common in the bed bug cases we’ve dealt with. Once you get them, it’s hard to get rid of them.

Locating Bed Bugs

You can do your own inspection to find out if you do in fact, have bed bugs, however you won’t always be successful. But don’t worry, we can help. The best way to determine if it’s bed bugs in your home is to inspect the common areas listed below:

• Bedding, pillowcases and pillows
• Headboards and baseboards
• Furniture near the bed

• Behind wall outlets
• Any other cracks or crevices around your bed
